Artwork needs to be ready to display or hang (wire on back) prior to dropping it off at the gallery. Once again it will be a sale instead of a silent auction so price your artwork at the selling price.
About The Red Door Project:
The Red Door Project is a pop-up art gallery featuring work from artists throughout Cincinnati who have put together pieces around specific themes and entered them into a gallery auction. Each month there is an open call to artists to submit their artwork based on a theme set by the gallery. The piece is curated, priced to sell, and displayed at the gallery, where the entire community is invited each month.

Pop-Up Gallery to Help Shed Light on Domestic Violence and Bring Hope Through Artwork
This month the Red Door Project will bring a community of artists together to raise awareness about domestic violence, creating pieces around the theme “Real Love.”
“This will be the first time The Red Door Project has partnered for a cause campaign,” said gallery founder Barbara Hauser. “It’s exciting to see how much interest the gallery has created in such a short time and how much potential this platform has to make a real difference right here in our community.”
This month’s theme will kick off the YWCA’s campaign to raise awareness of domestic violence during the month of October, National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
“We know that domestic violence impacts one out of every four women – yet most women admit they’ve never talked about it,” says Family Violence Prevention Project Director, Kristen Shrimplin. “We’re really hoping this will be an opportunity to educate and inspire the community to have healthy relationships through art.”
The YWCA runs Hamilton County’s only emergency domestic violence shelter, which served 944 women and children last year. Beginning with the Red Door Project show and running through the month of October, the YWCA will focus on raising awareness and bringing hope to women all over Cincinnati.
“Real Love” at The Red Door Project will begin at 6:00 PM on Friday, September 26th and final bids will be collected at 9:30 PM. All artwork is due on Saturday, September 20th between 11:30-3:00 PM. Artists should fill out a submission form prior to dropping off work. Artwork submission and the Final Friday show will be at 1405 Vine Street.

After three amazing months at the Crown Building in Findlay Market we are moving back to Vine Street. We will be at 1405 Vine Street near all the wonderful restaurants and shops in OTR. Also, we have a new online registration form. Please fill this out before you bring your artwork on Aug. 23rd. Click Here for Reg Form. I guess, there is one more new thing. I am going to try a new format. The silent auction will close at 9:30pm encouraging folks to stick around till the end and pay and take home their artwork that night!
August’s assignment is Light. (I am sure a few Lumenocity pieces will show up!) Artwork is due Aug 23 to 1405 Vine St. between 11:30-3pm. The artwork can be any medium – photography, mixed media, sculpture, paintings, etc,. We just ask that it is ready to hang (with wire) or be displayed.
The Final Friday event is Aug 29th, 6-10pm at 1405 Vine Street. Your piece will be on display for an auction style show. The artist receives a majority of the sale price. I keep 25% to help pay for gallery expenses.
Need inspiration? Join us on Aug. 12 from 6-8PM at Rock Paper Scissors for a fun night of working on your piece, meeting other artists, and free drinks while they last (first come first served, otherwise BYOB!)

Create a piece of art in any media (drawing, painting, photography). It can be 2D or 3D but must be based on the theme of the month.
The Red Door Project:
A new Final Friday Gallery in Over-the-Rhine: The Red Door Project is opening doors for the artist in all of us. Each month there will be an open call to artists to submit their artwork based on a theme that will be set the month before. All art submissions must adhere to the theme and be delivered the Saturday before Final Friday in order for the show to be curated and priced for auction. Artists will receive a portion of the proceeds based off of the sale price. The entire community will be invited to The Red Door Project celebration auction opening each month. Anyone can create art.
